Voice Over IP Solutions

Voice over Internet Protocol describes a telephony which uses the internet as a transmission medium rather than a standard telephone line. You can communicate in the usual fashion with other VoIP, mobile and landline users.

A VoIP enabled telephone system encodes your voice into digital packets for internet transmission, and decodes them for reception. If calling a fixed or a mobile line, your VoIP provider’s internet gateway decodes the call for analogue transmission to your recipient’s standard PBX.

Businesses with several employees, branch offices, and teleworkers will reap maximum benefit from VoIP technology. Calls to other VoIP users are free, and other calls are competitively priced. You can also configure your system to give whatever impression you want to your customers, so that all your employees can be on extensions of one main number, or unique numbers just with the same area code. In this way, you can create your own virtual office, even though your employees are dispersed across your branches, at home, or on the road.

There are several ways in which we can bring VoIP telephony to your business. Firstly, we can offer a remote VoIP hosting solution. Your phones will connect to through your ADSL broadband internet connection to our server, which then acts as a PBX. This provides a number of advantages:

  • Ease of deployment – simply plug into your ADSL connection
  • Reduced capital expenditure – no requirement for expensive phone switches
  • Reduced operational expenditure – telephone system maintenance is now web-based
  • Free intra-company phone costs  - you all use the same VoIP ADSL based network
  • Increased flexibility  and new ways of working – the virtual office enables your employees to work from anywhere, anytime

Secondly, if your business already has traditional telephone systems (PBX) installed in one or more sites, then it is possible that we ensure that a VoIP adaptor can be fitted to the legacy systems. This can enable different telephone systems across different sites to be linked via, either the internet, or your own Virtual Private Network and, as such, the calls are carried at no additional cost.

Lastly, if your business is a new start-up and expanding quickly, or is already large and reliant on telephony and the internet to interface with your customers and your employees over large geographical areas then we can provide the new generation of VoIP telephone systems (IP PBX), and which will enable complete convergence of all your voice and data traffic tailored to all your multi-site connectivity and functionality needs.
